Philanthropy
Our chapter's active Philanthropy Committe works hard to keep us involved with local charities as well as national organizations. Sigma Kappa's three main philanthropies are Gerontology emphasizing Alzheimers Disease, Inherit the Earth, and the Maine Sea Coast Mission. Sigma Kappa Jean Sale:
Each year we host a jean sale with top of the line jean brands at discount prices. The event takes place on campus and the sale is a hit, many pairs of jeans sell within hours. The profits made go to our philantropy foundation.
Frats at Bat:
Frats at Bat is a fraternity softball tournament traditionally held in the spring, where Sigma Kappa teams up with the community to raise money for Alzheimer's Disease research. Sigma Kappa organizes the event and serves as coaches to the participating fraternities in this two day, double-elimination tournament.
